Someone has made an unauthorised transaction from your bank account using internet banking or mobile banking — possibly through phishing, SIM swap, or account compromise.

⚖️Your Rights Under RBI Regulations

If the fraud happened due to the bank's negligence (not your fault): zero liability — full refund.

If you reported within 3 days of receiving SMS/email alert: zero liability.

If reported within 4-7 days: max liability Rs.10,000 (for basic accounts) to Rs.25,000 (larger accounts).

Bank must credit provisional refund within 10 working days pending investigation.
