ATM Did Not Dispense Cash But Account Debited

You tried to withdraw cash from an ATM. The ATM did not dispense cash (or dispensed less than requested) but your account was debited the full amount.

⚖️Your Rights Under RBI Regulations

Banks must re-credit failed ATM transactions automatically within 5 business days — own bank ATM.

For other bank ATMs, reversal must happen within 5 business days.

If not reversed within these timelines, the bank must pay Rs.100 per day compensation from the 5th day onwards.

You must report to your bank within 30 days for the compensation provision to apply.
